Esther Uria LaBovick of LaBovick Law Group Selected as “Leader in the Law” by Florida Association for Women Lawyers
Palm Beach Gardens, FL – LaBovick Law Group’s Managing Director Esther Uria LaBovick has been awarded the “Leader in the Law” award by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). The organization presents this award annually to women who have earned the respect of others professionally, have been involved in activities for the betterment of their local community, exemplified the qualities of a positive role model, and advanced the cause of women in their community. The Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL selected Mrs. LaBovick for this award.
“FAWL is an incredible organization with influence across the state and it is an honor to be one of its leaders,” said LaBovick. “Today, women lawyers combine marriage, family, and rewarding careers. I received my license to practice law in 1990 and I take great pride in how women have made such dramatic progress educationally and professionally in the legal industry.”
FAWL will present the award to the 27 recipients in the 2020 Class of Leaders in the Law this June at the Awards & Installation Celebration hosted in conjunction with the Florida Bar Annual Convention.
Mrs. LaBovick will serve as the Chapter’s State FAWL Representative. Prior to her position as State FAWL Representative, LaBovick served in numerous positions on the Board and Committees of Palm Beach County FAWL.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Esther Uria LaBovick has a strong passion for giving back to the community. She is Past President of The Junior League of the Palm Beaches and is the driving force behind her law firm’s outreach efforts. She has served on several Boards in the past including The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County and The South Florida Science Museum. Currently, she serves on the Boards of FAWL and PACE Center for Girls. She was recognized as a Finalist for “Woman of the Year” by the Women in Business Council of the Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and was also named a “Best & Brightest of Palm Beach County” by the Lupus Foundation of America. Most recently, she was nominated for the PACE Spirit Award for Growth, a State PACE award acknowledging her fundraising and dedication to the PACE Center for Girls Palm Beach.
